Jonesboro Elementary marks 100th day of school

BESSEMER, Ala. — Students and faculty at Jonesboro Elementary celebrated the 100th day of the school year on Jan. 21. The day, themed "100 Days Smarter," served as a reflection on the progress made in core subjects such as reading and mathematics since the beginning of the term.

Administrators praised the student body for their perseverance and daily commitment to growth. "From reading and math to friendships and fun, our students have worked hard every single day to reach this milestone," school officials said in a statement. "We are so proud of their effort, perseverance, and excitement for learning."

The 100th-day celebration is a long-standing tradition in elementary education, often used to help younger students grasp counting and place value while building school spirit and momentum for the spring semester. The day featured various activities designed to highlight the number 100 while reinforcing the school's mission of nurturing "shining" scholars.
